Ethnoscience is a leader in applied archaeological, historical, and ethnographic investigations, offering expert service in all aspects of cultural resource management consultation. Established in 1982, Ethnoscience is a woman-owned, fully outfitted company. DBE Certified in five states, we combine archaeological expertise, in-depth knowledge of compliance requirements, and industry standards to provide our clients with solid results.
We work throughout the Northern Plains and West. Ethnoscience has expertise in prehistoric and historic site research, inventory, evaluation, testing, and mitigation. Ethnoscience provides specialized site documentation including National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) nomination, Historic American Building Survey (HABS) and Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) documentation, and National Historic Landmark nomination. Ethnoscience is proficient in ethnographic research, including oral interviews, and maintains working relationships with Native American tribes throughout Montana and North Dakota.
